Accounts & packages
Packages
Packages are hosting plans (Hosting › Packages). A package sets disk space, inodes, resource limits (CPU, memory, entry processes, processes, disk I/O, IOPS, PHP workers), SSH access and whether PHP may run shell commands. Changing a package updates every account that uses it.
Accounts
Hosting › List Accounts shows every account with its domain, package, node, disk use and status. The account page has:
- Overview — usage, plan, node and login details. Change plan sits next to the plan name.
- Sites — the account's domains with the PHP version of each, and the account's default PHP version.
- Access & Security — switches for SSH access, shell commands from PHP, and other account features.
- Change password (with a password generator) and Login as user to open the customer panel as the account owner.
- Danger zone — suspend, unsuspend or terminate.
Suspended accounts are listed in Hosting › Suspended Accounts. Visitors to a suspended account's sites see a neutral suspended page.
Placement
When you create an account without choosing a node, NexPanel picks the online web node with free capacity and the lowest load. Nodes in maintenance mode or with Accept new accounts turned off are skipped.
API
Billing systems can create and manage accounts with an API token from Administration › API tokens.
