PHP versions & INI

Install versions#

Servers › Nodes › MultiPHP & INI lists the PHP versions on the node. NexPanel installs PHP from the Remi repository (8.1–8.4 by default, newer versions as they are published), or LSPHP on LiteSpeed. A version cannot be removed while an account uses it or while it is the node default.

Extensions are installed per version from the same page.

Versions per account and per domain#

• The account has a default PHP version.
• Each domain can use its own version — set by the admin on the account page, or by the customer in MultiPHP Manager.

The PHP Selector Breakdown card on the node overview shows how many domains use each version.

PHP settings#

• Server-wide values (memory limit, upload size, execution time, disabled functions) are set in MultiPHP & INI on the node.
• Customers change their own values in MultiPHP INI Editor, per domain, within the limits the server allows.

Each account runs its own PHP-FPM pool as its own Linux user. The number of PHP workers comes from the account's package.
