Install the mail server
Email › Mail Server installs the mail stack on a node:
- Postfix for sending and receiving
- Dovecot for IMAP and POP3
- Rspamd for spam filtering and DKIM signing
- Roundcube webmail (port
2096in all-in-one mode), with one-click login from the customer panel
The same page holds the node's mail settings: mail hostname, an optional smarthost (relay), the outbound limits and the spam scores.
Outbound limits
Each mailbox may send a set number of messages per hour. Messages above the limit are put on hold instead of being sent, which stops a hacked mailbox or script from sending spam from your IP. The node overview's Abuse & Inode Monitor shows the number of held messages; review them in Email › Mail Queue, where you can release, retry or delete messages.
Spam filter
Email › Spam Filter (Rspamd) shows statistics and history of scanned messages and lets you train the filter. Customers set their own spam options in Spam Filters, and can mark messages as spam or not spam from webmail.
Deliverability
Email Deliverability in the customer panel shows the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records each domain needs and whether they are in place. When DNS is hosted by NexPanel, the records can be added in one click.
