Migrating from cPanel

cPanel Converter (archives)#

Hosting › cPanel Converter turns cpmove-<user>.tar.gz archives (from WHM Transfer or Restore or pkgacct) into NexPanel accounts.

1. Copy the archives to the node's /home.
2. Open the converter, choose the archives and the package to use.
3. NexPanel analyses each archive, creates the account with its domains, databases and database users (with their original passwords), email accounts, FTP accounts and cron jobs, imports the DNS zones and SSL certificates, then copies the files.

cPanel Live Transfer (SSH)#

Hosting › cPanel Live Transfer copies accounts directly from a cPanel & WHM server over SSH:

1. Connect the source server.
2. Choose the accounts and start the transfer.
3. Sync again as often as you need — only changes are copied.
4. Complete the transfer when you are ready: the old server forwards web and mail traffic to NexPanel and its account is suspended, so nothing is lost while DNS changes spread.

Customers can also move their own site from another cPanel host with cPanel Transfer in their panel.
