Changelog

1.0.6

  • Jobs no longer go missing. If a job was handed to a server just as its agent restarted or the connection dropped, it could sit unanswered for 30 minutes and then run late. Agents now confirm every job they receive, and the panel sends an unconfirmed job again after one minute.
  • A failed new account cleans up after itself. Before, its Linux user was left behind and the next attempt stopped with "system user exists but is not managed by NexPanel".
  • No more "failed" PHP-FPM services for PHP versions no website uses. Remi's PHP packages tell Nginx and Apache to start every PHP-FPM version with them; NexPanel now starts each version itself once it has websites.

1.0.5

  • AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and RHEL 10 are supported for all-in-one, controller and hosting-node installs, alongside every 9.x release. On 10, Valkey replaces Redis and Postfix uses LMDB lookup tables.
  • Security: MariaDB's anonymous login and test database are removed on install, and by the agent update on existing servers. Before, any local user could log in to MariaDB without a password.
  • ModSecurity on Nginx: the module is now loaded (nginx.org's config did not read the modules folder, so creating a site failed after installing it). Fixed on install and by the agent update.
  • Installer: --version works again on AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and RHEL; install scripts no longer let /etc/os-release overwrite their own settings.
  • ModSecurity for Nginx builds with PCRE2; ClamAV, PHP, EPEL and rspamd repositories are chosen for the OS version.

1.0.4

  • Anonymous usage statistics: the installer reports whether an install succeeded or failed, and each panel sends one report a day with versions and counts. No hostnames, addresses, domains or customer data. Turn off with --no-telemetry or in Administration › Settings. See Usage statistics.
  • New installer option --no-telemetry. A failed install now reports which step failed, so install problems can be fixed faster.

1.0.3

  • Controller updates: the pre-update backup no longer stops on a database that is in use.
  • Agent: background updates of the agent and LVE manager start from a script file, so LVE updates from Admin › Updates install reliably.
  • Re-sync a node rebuilds its sites before reloading firewall, WAF and NexShield settings.

1.0.2

  • Agent: background updates start from a script file.
  • Re-sync ordering fix.

1.0.1

  • Re-sync a node rebuilds its sites before reloading firewall, WAF and NexShield settings.

1.0.0

First public release.

  • Signed releases on downloads.nexpanel.app; verified installer for all-in-one, controller and node installs.
  • One-click updates for the controller, agents and LVE manager in Administration › Updates, with automatic rollback.
  • Node overview: health, incidents with dismiss, core services, PHP versions, MariaDB health, abuse and inode monitor, busy domains, top accounts, events and jobs; maintenance mode and reboot from Node actions.
  • Failed jobs can be retried.
